NY Day 7

A bit of a rest day today, it's still cold but not as bitter as yesterday. We spent quite a few hours at The Museum of Modern Art or MOMA as it's known of locally. Its a really nice museum and has a fantastic shop as well. I didn't purchase anything but there was a lot of interesting things to look at.
Display wise I enjoyed the 60's furniture display and in particular the pieces by Eames. Many people know of the famous chair and footstool he designed that go for thousands these days!
There were also some lovely paintings and as usual we were fond of many bright coloured works and those of Van Gogh.

Very hard to get a photo of this van Gogh painting as people were standing all around it

Guess who painted this??? Jackson Pollock of course of Blue Poles fame
This was so colourful, artists name in next picture

  1. I think Eames designed these chairs as well.

  3. I would have to agree with your Mum, Trace, about the chairs. Lots of lovely artwork with nice bright colours, your apartment building looks quite respectable too. Hope the weather warms up for you soon.
