There was work going on as we walked along, in the avenues and streets clearing snow, some of it is in big blocks and quite heavy for the men to clear. The snow is also filthy where it has been swept up in piles from the street.
Not sure where we're off to tomorrow, we bought the "New York pass" as it makes visits cheaper so we have to make sure we go to all places listed on it.

DeleteLots of interesting pics once again Trace. Love the Chrysler building and the panoramic shot of New York and that pigeon looked very tame, great timing to capture him. Thank goodness for the people who come around and clean up the snow and ice from the streets. Enoy the sunshine while it lasts.
ReplyDeleteYes Jan its the sun that makes it much warmer. That pigeon was nice, the only thing there were a few of them and they all seemed to have damaged feet :( which was sad, its a hard life evidently being a NYC pigeon. Cleaning up the ice makes for lots of work for people, its amazing how dirty it gets on the street.

Do you know how many steps a day you re doing? I'm sure it must be heaps.
Hi Michelle we have been doing too many steps, the place is so big. We walked over 10klms yesterday and have done more than that on other days day. My legs and feet have been aching!!!!! Tomorrow will be a taxi ride I'm sure. Today we took it easy and only did a tiny 4.4klms as we went to a show and it was so very cold! Great to hear from you! x
