LV to LA then NY

Yesterday was such a busy day for us, we checked out of the beautiful Bellagio and stowed our bags at the hotel then went to check out Caesars Palace Casino (Celine Dion and Frank Sinatra and Elvis I believe are all artists to work there) This place is incredible, the casino area a tad tacky but the shopping area is great. From the painted ceiling making it feel like the place has no roof to the sheer size of it, it is amazing and for those with loads of dollars to spend many very up market shops! I bought some fridge magnets LOL.
We caught our flight back to Los Angeles and checked in to a very basic hotel near LAX for ease of getting to our flight to New York. It was 4.00 a.m when we had to get up and be ready by 10 to 5 to catch the shuttle to the Airport. All ran smoothly and we were on our way, some turbulence but otherwise an uneventful trip thank goodness, considering all the bad weather that has been around New York. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to see sunny skies but it is cold and much colder when we arrived at our Air B & B which is spotlessly clean and seems to be good and in a good location. Tomorrow is St Patrick's Day celebrations and parade so no doubt there will be loads of green around and revellers!
One of the many beautiful shops in Caesars Palace

Look what else you can buy!!!!!!! Note price on lower right corner!

Pretty blue!

There's that Aussie tourist again! I think he likes Bruce Springsteen LOL

Note this is a curved escalator!

Outside the Venetian Casino

Nice touch with the waterfall

Can we guess who this is? Obviously standing was a problem as he was sitting down to sing. Quite sad.

  4. Hi Trace, love Caesar's Palace and those ceilings are spectacular! You can certainly see the Italian /Mafia influence everywhere! The snow capped mountains make a great backdrop to the city. Glad to see you are prepared for New York's cold weather! Your Air B&B looks very clean and comfortable enough for your stay and great that the location is good too. Can't wait to see what you discover next!!

    1. Yes Jan fortunately I hd the right clothes and Stephen bought a jacket for half price at $30 in Vegas as he didn't have a heavy enough coat! The Air B & B is great actually, we cooked our first meal tonight (Stephen made an omelette)and we had breakfast here too which was great and saves lots of money.

    1. Yes that beanie was bought in Switzerland at Lucerne some years back when I was once again freezing to death! It saved the day then and will again in New York! Its cold but with the right clothes and the sun shining it's fine. There is snow and rain forecast tomorrow though so we'll have to see how that goes.
