We caught our flight back to Los Angeles and checked in to a very basic hotel near LAX for ease of getting to our flight to New York. It was 4.00 a.m when we had to get up and be ready by 10 to 5 to catch the shuttle to the Airport. All ran smoothly and we were on our way, some turbulence but otherwise an uneventful trip thank goodness, considering all the bad weather that has been around New York. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to see sunny skies but it is cold and much colder when we arrived at our Air B & B which is spotlessly clean and seems to be good and in a good location. Tomorrow is St Patrick's Day celebrations and parade so no doubt there will be loads of green around and revellers!

Giant size Elvis!! I wonder if he can see his blue suede shoes.....
Hi Michelle, great comments! So sorry but I couldn't decide on a colour for the bag!!!!! Loving my red cap as it is keeping me warm, had to buy it in Switzerland when I was freezing on another holiday!!!! Finally I am pretty certain those blue suede shoes have never been seen :)Loving your comments, such a sense of humour!
ReplyDeletelooking good.keep those gloves on.lol bf
ReplyDeleteYes thanks for the gloves, I have had them on in New York every time we go outside! BF you saved me for sure from the cold! xx
DeleteHi Trace, love Caesar's Palace and those ceilings are spectacular! You can certainly see the Italian /Mafia influence everywhere! The snow capped mountains make a great backdrop to the city. Glad to see you are prepared for New York's cold weather! Your Air B&B looks very clean and comfortable enough for your stay and great that the location is good too. Can't wait to see what you discover next!!
ReplyDeleteYes Jan fortunately I hd the right clothes and Stephen bought a jacket for half price at $30 in Vegas as he didn't have a heavy enough coat! The Air B & B is great actually, we cooked our first meal tonight (Stephen made an omelette)and we had breakfast here too which was great and saves lots of money.
DeleteThe red beanie sets off the outfit beautifully! How cold is it there?
ReplyDeleteYes that beanie was bought in Switzerland at Lucerne some years back when I was once again freezing to death! It saved the day then and will again in New York! Its cold but with the right clothes and the sun shining it's fine. There is snow and rain forecast tomorrow though so we'll have to see how that goes.
