Well
snow and rain were forecast and that's what we got! We had breakfast at
the apartment then set out and had our lattes in a nearby cafe and watched all the
freezing people walk by. We then walked quite some distance in softly
falling snow and found our way to Macy's. What an amazing department
store, so big and so much inside it!!! It was very busy, I managed to
find a lovely blue Michael Kors cross body handbag and purchased that,
woohoo! It was on special...... even better! It had changed inside the store
from when we were last here 4 years ago.
As
the day drew to a close we headed off on the long walk back, still
raining lightly on and off but although it was cold we still had a
pretty good day, even if it was a tad more difficult than usual.

Love the camel. You certainly look cold.rain here. not quite so hot.Tia sends licks. xxx
ReplyDeleteLovely to hear we've had some rain at last even if only a little. Its sunny here today and the NY half marathon is on. We are at home this morning as Stephen has a headache so taking it easy. Sweet "T" sitting looking out that window no doubt! xx
DeleteHi Trace what an adventure you are having....trekking through snow, rain & freezing cold to get that pale blue handbag :) You are my inspiration & love your dedication to shop.....hahaha.
ReplyDeleteHow is the one suitcase going?
Ha Ha Michelle gosh that made me laugh, you know me get there at all costs!! The one suitcase has been far better, much easier for Stephen and I bought a fold up to nothing nylon bag that has come in handy to put our coats in on the planes. Hope you're ok Michelle xx
DeleteShopping!! What a great distraction when it's cold outside! The Michael Kors handbag sounds like a lovely colour and a great find! I don't know about you but I found it a bit of a bother going in and out of the shops and having to put the layers on and take them off again and back on again every time you ventured in and out of a building. Just not used to it. You both look cold, You must enjoy the central heating when you go inside!
ReplyDeleteJan I have to agree, when we went into Macys it was an absolute pain having to carry coats around and if you leave them on you roast!!We also find it tedious but there's not much you can do about it. I think Australia's climate suits me pretty well even if hot at times!Strangely we don"t need to heat where we are staying, its warm!
DeleteHi Trace, yes I'm back but I think you missed my first & only message!! It looks so cold, are your feet staying dry?? Good shopping & coffee weather...you'll be having a great time ☺ Thinking the number of bags may grow. Love all the pics will have to go thought them again to take it all in. Stay safe & hi to you Stephen too
ReplyDeleteHi Joc, so glad to hear from you!!! No I must have missed your first message, I thought you must have had trouble connecting, I've thought of you often and Lilly! My feet have been dry thank goodness i waterproofed them before we left. I've even used the pocket hotty you gave me LOL I havent bought much apart from a small handbag.....yet!!!!We have had many Lattes for strength and warmth !!!!!
ReplyDeleteProbably the whole building is centrally heated by management from the main control panel Trace. When I stayed in the apartment building in Calgary's city centre it was. I prefer Australian weather too Trace but I guess it is what you get used to especially if you have never known anything different. I love Michelle's comments about your efforts to find that perfect handbag too...haha....lol. It is true, you have inspired me too!!
