Last Post

Our last day in Washington. We are off to New York by train tomorrow and then flying home as I said in the last post. We made the most of today but are glad we decided not to go on a tour we had booked at The Capitol Building as there was an incident with a woman trying to run policemen down and ramming cars. She was caught but police did fire shots and the incident was solved pretty quickly thank goodness with no injuries. Our tour was at 9.20 a.m and that's when it happened so it was a good day to stay away.
We took another trip on the Big Bus and saw the White House and took photos there before going on to Georgetown for lunch. All in all a good day and nice weather.
There are so many Museums and things to see here you would need months to complete them but we did have a good look at what we could in our few days.
