New York 10

Today, in gloomy, cold weather we took the Subway down to Central Park and then walked the extra klms to The Guggenheim Gallery. This fabulous building is truly the best way the works of Art can be seen, spiralling around the inner walls. We really enjoyed this gallery and the paintings in it.
After going through the six floors of Art works we then went on to Cooper Hewitt, not far up the street, which is a Smithsonian Modern Design Museum, it too held some treasures! It was a lot of fun as well.
I have discovered some new Artists to appreciate on this trip, especially Vasily Kandinsky, vibrant, modern works.
Finally we decided to head over to the Met again and had refreshments before walking home. We have walked 19 klms in the last two days alone, I need to come home to rest.

At the Met, great displays!

There are a lot of this type of bird in New York, don't know if they're native or not.
