After going through the six floors of Art works we then went on to Cooper Hewitt, not far up the street, which is a Smithsonian Modern Design Museum, it too held some treasures! It was a lot of fun as well.
I have discovered some new Artists to appreciate on this trip, especially Vasily Kandinsky, vibrant, modern works.
Finally we decided to head over to the Met again and had refreshments before walking home. We have walked 19 klms in the last two days alone, I need to come home to rest.

There are a lot of this type of bird in New York, don't know if they're native or not. |
I think I like the artwork on that bird most of all.
ReplyDeleteAhh more of a traditionalist! I love modern !! Saw the link you sent of the Soho singers , liked them a lot!!
ReplyDeleteI remembered the Guggenheim building from a movie I have seen. The building is very unique, actually New York seems to have lots of interesting buildings. Looking forward to seeing Washington.
ReplyDeleteYes Jan it was truly interesting, I haven't seen it inside until now :)
